A 12,000-pound limestone brain sculpture was installed Monday in the plaza at the Indiana University Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. The project was inspired by Jill Bolte Taylor’s Brain Extravaganza. The department plans a daylong celebration Friday, which will include public talks and festivities celebrating its 125th anniversary as well as the unveiling of the sculpture.
