  • June 20, 2013

INDIANAPOLIS -- Operation Agile Response, a full-scale emergency preparedness exercise, is planned at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis on Tuesday, June 25. In order to keep the exercise as realistic as possible, exercise times and campus locations affected are not being released publicly at this time.

A media release with information regarding street and parking lot closures and limitations will be sent early on Monday, June 24. Disruption of traffic will be brief -- approximately one hour -- with the exception of an all-day closure of one street that is not a main thoroughfare.

Media interested in attending should contact George Vlahakis -- vlahakis@iu.edu, 812-855-0846 office or 812-345-1500 cell -- or Tracy James -- traljame@iu.edu; 812-855-0084 office or 812-369-7100 cell -- in IU Communications for further details. An earlier news release has additional information.

Faculty, staff and students at IUPUI, as well as visitors to campus, will see a planned emergency response exercise -- Operation Agile Response -- sometime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25.
